Saudis banned from travel to Syria
The Saudi Directorate General for Passports has said it will ban Saudi citizens from traveling to Syria.
Spokesman of the directorate Lt. Col. Ahmed Fahd Al-Luhaidan said the decision was made due to the ongoing violence in the country and would remain in place until the situation improves.
Al-Luhaidan said his organization was keen to ensure citizens do not violate Saudi passports regulations, otherwise they would be subjected to penalties.
He also called on them to read all regulations and directives by visiting the directorate’s website at www.gdp.gov.sa.
