Global Power Awards Launch Event Celebrates Excellence and Innovation in London

The highly anticipated Global Power Awards officially launched with a vibrant and inspiring event on 30th June 2025 at 7:00 PM, held at Mirravale Events & Catering, Selinas Lane, Dagenham, London, RM8 1YY. The evening brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, community champions, and supporters from around the world to celebrate achievement and foster meaningful connections driving positive change.
The Global Power Awards is an international initiative dedicated to recognising individuals and organisations making significant contributions across various sectors around the world. The awards celebrate excellence, innovation, leadership, and community impact while promoting diversity, inclusion, and sustainable growth globally.
The event was co-hosted by Tamanna Miah – Presenter, Event Host, TEDx Speaker, Media Personality, Red Carpet Reporter, Public Speaker, Researcher and campaigner for empowerment and inclusion. Arafat Zaman – Aspiring journalist who spoke passionately about youth recognition and civic involvement. Sabia Khatun – CEO, Gold Dust Media, who highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and leadership.
The event opened with speeches from Mohammed Aktaruzzaman, CEO of Global Power Awards UK Limited, and Shamsuz Zaman Shamon, Managing Director. The venue owner of Mirravale Events & Catering also delivered a supportive message, endorsing the event’s mission.
Distinguished guest speakers included Cllr Atiqul Hoque – Ambassador of Global Power Awards UK Limited, Dr Zakir Khan – Entrepreneur & Presenter, Toffazul Miah – President, British Bangladesh Caterers’ Association, Shahnoor Khan – Regional President, British Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Founder, Bangladesh Caterers’ Association, Mitu Choudhury – Secretary General, Bangladesh Caterers’ Association, Cllr Naz Islam – Press & Publication Secretary, Bangladesh Caterers’ Association. Each shared insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the power of community engagement.
The awards unveiled the following initial categories:
Leadership Excellence, Innovation and Technology, Entrepreneurship, Emerging Leader, Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Leadership. Additional information will be announced soon.
Guests enjoyed an evening of networking, cultural performances, and powerful personal stories of resilience and success. The event reinforced the importance of collaboration, unity, and a shared vision for a better, more inclusive future.
