Community Get-Together Brings South East London Together at Keston Village Hall
The South East Bangladeshi Association successfully organised a vibrant community get-together at Keston Village Hall, welcoming over 150 attendees from across South East London. The event celebrated community spirit, culture, and togetherness in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
The programme was hosted by Hasan Mahmud and supervised by Mohammed Mamun, opening with a welcome address from President Moynul Islam and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Master Uzair. Families and community members enjoyed a range of engaging activities throughout the day.
Children participated enthusiastically in drawing and Qira’at competitions, while ladies took part in a lively musical chairs competition, with prizes awarded to the winners—bringing joy and laughter to all.
During the event, the Association proudly introduced its new committee, led by:

The cultural segment featured memorable performances, including the Bangladesh National Anthem by close-up artist Rana Khan, followed by captivating songs from rising talent Durba Deb, whose heartfelt performances were warmly received by the audience.
The Association extended special thanks to its dedicated volunteers — Mahmud Jnr, Kabir Miah, Anar Miah, Shahadoth Sayem, Rahin, Tanvir, Tahmid, Shaon, Rashed, and Iftekhar, as well as the women’s volunteer team led by Farzana — for their invaluable support in making the event a success.
