Emirates flight diverted after medical emergency
An Emirates flight from London to Dubai was reportedly diverted to Germany on Tuesday due to a medical emergency on board the aircraft.
Emirates flight EK8, which departed from Heathrow Airport, was due to arrive in Dubai at 8pm local time but was forced to land at Munich, the UK’s Daily Mail reported.
It said there were earlier reports that the A380 superjumbo may have diverted for operational reasons but an Emirates spokesman told the paper: “Emirates flight EK0008 from London Heathrow to Dubai on 13 January was diverted to Munich, Germany due to a passenger medical emergency.
“The passenger has been assisted off the aircraft to receive medical attention. Emirates apologises for any inconvenience but the safety of our passengers and crew is always of paramount importance.”
