DHAKA, Kuala Lumpur sign four deals

PMBangladesh and Malaysia today signed four deals, including one agreement and two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and one protocol, for further widening and strengthening ties between the two countries in the fields of manpower export, tourism, art and culture.
The instruments were signed after official talks between the prime ministers of the two countries at Prime Minister’s Office at Putrajaya, centre of the federal administration of Malaysia.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Malaysian counterpart Mohd. Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak witnessed the signing of the deals.
The instruments are: the agreement between Bangladesh and Malaysia on partial abolition of visa requirements, the MoU on cooperation in the field of tourism, the MoU on cooperation in the field of culture, art and heritage and the protocol amending the MoU of 2012 between Bangladesh and Malaysia on employment of workers.
Minister for Human Resources of Malaysia Richard Riot Anak Jaem and State Minister for Home Affairs of Bangladesh Asaduzzaman Khan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective countries on partial abolition of visa requirements.
Malaysian Minister of Human Resources Dato Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem and Bangladesh Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain inked the protocol amending the MoU on employment of workers.
The MoU on cooperation in the field of tourism was penned by Malaysian Acting Minister of Tourism and Culture Mustapa Mohamed and Bangladesh Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon.
Acting Minister of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia Mustapa Mohamed and Bangladesh’s Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor signed the MoU on cooperation in the field of culture, art and heritage.
