Mayor’s Christmas reception at the Town Hall

Mayor Lutfur Rahman welcomed community leaders to a Christmas reception at Tower Hamlets Council’s Town Hall on Friday (December 12).
Faith and community representatives from the borough, together with local war veterans, joined the Mayor for a pre-Christmas celebration.
And Sister Christine Frost and Reverands Alan Green and Bernadette Hegarty addressed the group about this special time of year.
Mayor Lutfur Rahman said: “As ever, I was delighted to meet with local faith and community leaders and representatives of some of our schools.
“Christmas is a time of year for reflection. It is also a time when our message about being One Tower Hamlets, is particularly resonant.
“I’d like to wish all residents and visitors to our borough a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful New Year.”
