Dhaka-Kathmandu bus begins

KatmanduTrial bus service on Bangladesh-India-Nepal route started today as two buses carrying 44 delegates led by BRTC Chairman Fariduddin Ahmed left the BRTC international depot here this morning.
“We have started the bus service on a trial basis with an aim to establish communication with Nepal through roads,” Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Chairman Fariduddin Ahmed told BSS over phone this afternoon.
Among the delegates 25 are Bangladeshis, 12 Indian, six Nepalese and one Asian Development Bank (ADB) official.
The delegation will reach Kathmandu on April 26 via Shiliguri, India, Farid Ahmed said, adding that after reaching in Kathmandu, they will sign a protocol in this regard.
