It will start on Jan. 22 in Islamabad under the auspices of the President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
“The Muslim World League aims, through its participation in the conference, to support its new vision designed to promote and intermediate concepts of centrist Islam and promote tolerance, love and brotherhood values, in addition to emphasizing the role of scholars in the consolidation of those entrenched values in the consciousness of Islamic moderation and fight against extremism,” said Al-Issa.
He added that scholars, preachers and thinkers in the Muslim world need to intensify their efforts “to confront extremism and terrorism calls that spread their poison among the Islamic youth taking advantage of a failure to explain the legitimate position of some of the controversial issues employed by extremism to serve its objectives after achieving victories in the promotion of fallacies and illusions.”
