{"id":1316,"date":"2014-02-28T11:43:45","date_gmt":"2014-02-28T11:43:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=1316"},"modified":"2014-02-28T11:43:45","modified_gmt":"2014-02-28T11:43:45","slug":"inspiring-the-next-generation-of-women-in-tower-hamlets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/inspiring-the-next-generation-of-women-in-tower-hamlets\/","title":{"rendered":"Inspiring the next generation of Women in Tower Hamlets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An exciting week-long programme of events leading up to International Women\u2019s Day on Saturday (March 8) has been organised by Tower Hamlets Council for young women aged 13-19 and women with special educational needs aged up to 25.<br \/>\nInspiring change for a greater awareness of women\u2019s equality is this year\u2019s theme and the council has lined-up workshops to celebrate the achievement of young women and a platform to showcase their work throughout the week from Monday, March 3.<br \/>\nPerformances, music, drama and inspiring speakers hope to educate the young women at the finale cultural extravaganza on Saturday, March 8, at the Brady Arts Centre in Hanbury Street, Whitechapel from 12noon &#8211; 6pm.<br \/>\nMayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, said: \u201cThe achievements of women and the fight against gender inequality will be celebrated across the borough this month.
