{"id":3028,"date":"2014-12-08T11:02:06","date_gmt":"2014-12-08T11:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=3028"},"modified":"2014-12-08T11:02:06","modified_gmt":"2014-12-08T11:02:06","slug":"worlds-first-herbal-quran-exhibited-in-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/worlds-first-herbal-quran-exhibited-in-dubai\/","title":{"rendered":"World\u2019s first herbal Qur\u2019an exhibited in Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Worlds-only-herbal-Quran.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3029\" src=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Worlds-only-herbal-Quran.jpg\" alt=\"World's only herbal Quran\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a>The first handmade herbal Holy Qur\u2019an in the world has been unveiled in Dubai by the Islamic arts and calligraphy company, Heddem Arts.<br \/>\nThe holy book is reportedly made of approximately 200 herbs and has been crafted by Turkish Unani Doctor Hamdi Taher (1897-2003) over a period of 22 years (1957-1979).<br \/>\nWhile the masterpiece is entirely made from medicinal herbal extracts from start to finish, herbal cream has been used to engrave the letters, chapter names, chapter headings on the top and sides of the pages, border designs and page numbers.<br \/>\nThe herbal-cream-written Qur\u2019an includes 606 pages and weighs about 7.5 kilograms.<br \/>\n\u201cHerbal sheets of the Holy Qur\u2019an have many therapeutic properties when the reader moves his fingers on the letters or in and around the pages, the herbal mixture seeps through the pores in the fingers, providing health benefits,\u201d Heddem Arts said.<br \/>\nThe book\u2019s medicinal herbal mixture was extracted from seeds, fruits, leaves, stems, barks and roots used in Unani medicine, Heddem Arts explained.<br \/>\nBased on traditional Greek medicine concepts, Unani System of medicine is one of the oldest forms of alternative, traditional and complementary medicine.
