{"id":3795,"date":"2015-02-17T17:58:16","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T17:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=3795"},"modified":"2015-02-17T17:58:16","modified_gmt":"2015-02-17T17:58:16","slug":"bangladesh-23rd-economy-by-2050","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/bangladesh-23rd-economy-by-2050\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladesh 23rd economy by 2050"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/PWC.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3796\" src=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/PWC.jpg\" alt=\"PWC\" width=\"292\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a>Bangladesh is going to emerge as the world\u2019s 23rd largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP) by 2050.<br \/>\nThe UK-based PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) made the projection in its latest report on global economy.<br \/>\nCurrently, Bangladesh\u2019s gross domestic product (GDP) is the 38th largest in the world in terms of PPP.<br \/>\nThe PwC has projected that Bangladesh\u2019s economy will surpass that of Australia and Malaysia Malaysia within the given timeframe.<br \/>\nThe country\u2019s GDP size, according to the PwC, was $536 billion in 2014 in PPP terms. The Bangladesh economy is expected to be worth $1.291 trillion in 2030 and $3.367 trillion in 2050.<br \/>\nThe PwC\u2019s \u201cWorld in 2050\u2033 report now covers a total of 32 countries including Bangladesh. These 32 countries account for around 84 per cent of global GDP, up from around 80 per cent for the 24 economies in PwC\u2019s 2013 report.<br \/>\nThe PwC identified four key factors behind these 32 countries\u2019 growth in next 35 years. These are: growing labour force of working age, increase in human capital, growth in physical capital and factor productivity.<br \/>\nChina, which is already the largest economy in the world in terms of PPP, will continue to keep the top place in 2035 and 2050.<br \/>\nIndia will replace the United States after 35 years and become the second largest economy followed by the USA.
