{"id":4096,"date":"2015-03-28T20:33:54","date_gmt":"2015-03-28T20:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=4096"},"modified":"2015-03-28T20:33:54","modified_gmt":"2015-03-28T20:33:54","slug":"airlines-across-the-world-to-change-safety-policies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/airlines-across-the-world-to-change-safety-policies\/","title":{"rendered":"Airlines across the world to change safety policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Airlines across the world have begun requiring two crew members to always be present in the cockpit, in the wake of the French Alps crash.<br \/>\nA number of major Canadian, Norwegian, German and UK airlines have all pledged to change their policies.<br \/>\nThe UK\u2019s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said it will \u201cmonitor the situation\u201d as the crash investigation develops.<br \/>\nLufthansa said that no matter how good the security, ultimately nothing could stop a rogue pilot.<br \/>\nAir Canada, Westjet and charter airline Air Transat, Norwegian Air Shuttle, major German airlines including Lufthansa and Air Berlin, Easyjet, Monarch Airlines, Virgin and Thomas Cook have all confirmed they are changing their safety policies.<br \/>\nThe change comes after UK airlines were told to review procedures following Tuesday\u2019s Alps crash in which 150 people died.<br \/>\nThe new procedures will mean that two crew members must always be present on the flight deck.<br \/>\nThe changes come after it emerged the co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525 had apparently locked himself in the cockpit before crashing the plane into the mountains below.<br \/>\nChief Operations Officer, Nils Christy said: \u201cThe revised protocol is now mandatory for all Monarch passenger flights.
