{"id":4559,"date":"2015-05-31T10:50:16","date_gmt":"2015-05-31T09:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=4559"},"modified":"2015-05-31T10:50:16","modified_gmt":"2015-05-31T09:50:16","slug":"iran-rejects-site-inspections-in-a-nuclear-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/iran-rejects-site-inspections-in-a-nuclear-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran rejects site inspections in a nuclear agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Iran-rejects-site-inspections-in-a-nuclear-agreement.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4560\" src=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Iran-rejects-site-inspections-in-a-nuclear-agreement.jpg\" alt=\"Iran rejects site inspections in a nuclear agreement\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a>Iran said Saturday it would be \u201cout of the question\u201d for the UN atomic watchdog to question Iranian scientists and inspect military sites as part of a final nuclear agreement with world powers.<br \/>\n\u201cInterview with scientists is completely out of the question and so is inspection of military sites,\u201d senior Iranian negotiator Abbas Araghchi told state television.<br \/>\nThe head of the UN\u2019s atomic watchdog Yukiya Amano told AFP in an interview this week that if Iran signs a nuclear deal with world powers it will have to accept inspections of its military sites.<br \/>\nAraghchi\u2019s comments come as Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his US counterpart John Kerry were holding crucial talks in Geneva to try and hammer out a historic nuclear deal ahead of a June 30 deadline.<br \/>\nIran\u2019s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei last week ruled out allowing nuclear inspectors to visit military sites or the questioning of scientists.<br \/>\nAnd Zarif has said the Additional Protocol of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has accepted allows \u201csome access\u201d but not inspections of military sites.<br \/>\n\u201cAnyway we are continuing our negotiations in the framework of procedures predicted by the Additional Protocol.
