{"id":48634,"date":"2018-12-17T23:16:34","date_gmt":"2018-12-17T23:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=48634"},"modified":"2018-12-17T23:16:34","modified_gmt":"2018-12-17T23:16:34","slug":"sign-language-and-braille-qurans-to-help-pilgrims-at-two-holy-mosques","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/sign-language-and-braille-qurans-to-help-pilgrims-at-two-holy-mosques\/","title":{"rendered":"Sign language and Braille Qur\u2019ans to help pilgrims at Two Holy Mosques"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-48635\" src=\"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Sign-Quran.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"801\" height=\"476\" \/>Sign language, Braille Qur\u2019ans and electric wheelchairs are some of the new features in Makkah and Madinah to help pilgrims with disabilities to execute the religious rites of Hajj and Umrah.<br \/>\nAn official at the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques described those with disabilities as \u201chighly motivated people with special powers\u201d and that services had been established to aid them, providing them with ease and comfort and avoiding complications even during peak times.<br \/>\nAhmed Al-Burqati, who is tasked with helping people at the presidency, told Arab News there were designated entrances to ease access to prayer areas, including the ones on the ground and first floors of the King Fahd expansion at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.<br \/>\nOther provisions include a pen that serves as a Qur\u2019an reader, and help for holding and carrying Qur\u2019ans for people unable to hold them.
