{"id":6789,"date":"2016-08-20T09:36:25","date_gmt":"2016-08-20T08:36:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=6789"},"modified":"2016-08-20T09:36:25","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T08:36:25","slug":"5-year-old-boy-memorizes-quran-from-radio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/5-year-old-boy-memorizes-quran-from-radio\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Year old Boy Memorizes Quran From Radio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6790\" src=\"http:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Hussain.jpg\" alt=\"Hussain\" width=\"231\" height=\"376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Hussain.jpg 231w, https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Hussain-184x300.jpg 184w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 231px) 100vw, 231px\" \/>Five-year-old Saudi boy Hussein Mohammad Tahir, visually impaired since birth, managed a feat few able-bodied people can: He memorized the Holy Qur\u2019an just by listening to the radio.<br \/>\nThe story of the Burmese child began in Jeddah, where his father, knowing that he would not be able to watch TV, bought him a radio.<br \/>\nThe father, Mohammad Tahir, said he fixed the frequency on a station, which broadcasts the Qur\u2019an 24\/7 so that his son can develop the habit of listening to Qur\u2019an\u2019s teachings.<br \/>\n\u201cI didn&#8217;t even imagine that this child would benefit from the radio by memorizing the Qur\u2019an,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nFor three years, Tahir did not realize Hussein was memorizing the holy book through the radio.<br \/>\nAfter they moved from Jeddah to Madinah, the child asked his father to take him to the Prophet&#8217;s Mosque.<br \/>\nThe condition for taking him there, said the father, was to recite a few verses from Surah Al-Baqarah.<br \/>\nThe child recited the entire surah, which surprised the father to no end.<br \/>\nMohammad Tahir said he took the child to several teachers and people who had memorized the Qur\u2019an to confirm that the child had completely memorized the holy Qur\u2019an.
