{"id":7766,"date":"2018-03-21T11:44:35","date_gmt":"2018-03-21T11:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/?p=7766"},"modified":"2018-03-21T11:44:35","modified_gmt":"2018-03-21T11:44:35","slug":"nobel-laureate-yunus-sued-in-fraud-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/index.php\/nobel-laureate-yunus-sued-in-fraud-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Nobel laureate Yunus sued in fraud case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2741\" src=\"https:\/\/english.thesunrisetoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Muhammad-Yunus.jpg\" alt=\"Muhammad Yunus\" width=\"259\" height=\"194\" \/>A contractor company has filed a case against Nobel laureate and Grameen Telecom Trust chairman Muhammad Yunus on allegations of fraudulence.<br \/>\nBahadul Islam, owner of Taj Enterprises, filed the case accusing Yunus and three others with with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate accepted the case and asked the Pallabi police station to give report after investigating the matter.<br \/>\nOther accused of this case are: chief executive officer of Grameen Telecom Ashraful Hasan and two other officials of the telecom company- Zahidul Islam and Asaduzzaman.<br \/>\nFerdous Ahmed, the lawyer of the plaintiff, told newsmen that the contractor company Taj Enterprises did some construction works for Grameen telecom company in Ashulia\u2019s Zirabo.
