The two shortlisted entries are the Integrated Service for Disabled Children (children&#8217;s services) and the Healthy Early Years Accreditation Scheme (public health).<br \/>\nA record breaking 640 entries were submitted for this year\u2019s awards, demonstrating local government\u2019s enthusiasm to share innovation and reward their teams and individuals who make change happen. There are over 80 organisations in the final.<br \/>\nWith budgets at the forefront of priorities this year, the LGC have stressed the importance of highlighting the organisations who demonstrate best practice and to shine a spotlight on their achievements.<br \/>\nMayor of Tower Hamlets Lutfur Rahman said: \u201cEnsuring all children have access to the best level of service and treatment is a top priority for the council. It is excellent to be recognised for the coordinated approach across partnerships that have helped improve the health and wellbeing of families across the borough.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Healthy Early Years Accreditation Scheme is a partnership between Public Health and Early Years services and provides a framework and self audit tool to support playgroups, school nurseries, child-minders, Children\u2019s Centres and libraries in Tower Hamlets to provide safe and supportive physical and emotional environments, appropriate nutrition and support stable relationships. Achievements include measurable improvements in healthy eating, physical activity, and emotional well-being in children and increased awareness of key health messages in parents and staff.<br \/>\nThe Integrated Service for Disabled Children is a virtual team that is able to respond to the wide ranging needs of disabled children and families.\u00a0 It brings together services across social care, education, health and third sector to commission and deliver services across the continuum of need. It is founded on a strong emphasis of co-production with families and our approach ensures a better experience and improved outcomes for families.<br \/>\nRobert McCulloch-Graham, Corporate Director of Education, Social Care and Wellbeing said: \u201cThe council and its partners are absolutely thrilled to be recognised for our work across the service.
