Darul Uloom Dewband model to be adopted in Malaysia

The educational model of world renowned Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband is to be adopted in the government and non-governmental Madrasas of Malaysia. In this connection a three member Malaysian delegation has visited Darul Uloom Deoband. The delegation inspected Jamia Rasheed Library, Darul Hadith and other places.
One of the members of the delegation, Mr. Zahidi said Darul Uloom is a world renowned Islamic seminary and it has deep relations with Malaysia. He informed that the graduates of Darul Uloom occupy high positions in the government sector in Malaysia. Mr. Zahidi further disclosed that the Chief Justice of Malaysia Maulana Abdul Aziz Qasmi is a graduate of Darul Uloom. He, however, regretted that the Indian government does not issue visas to the Malaysian students to study at Darul Uloom.
After completing the visit of Darul Uloom Deoband, the delegation would leave for Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, Lucknow to observe its curriculum. The other members of the delegation include Prof. Javia of the National University and Qamaruz Zaman.
