Hasina inaugurates Int’l trade fair
The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated the 19th Dhaka International Trade Fair-2014 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
The fair beginning deferred due to political violence and the general polls of the country.
Twelve countries are displaying their goods before the local and international buyers in this occassion.
The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce are jointly organising the country’s biggest trade exhibition.
India, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, Iran, South Korea, Thailand, US, UK, Turkey and Singapore are taking part in the fair, apart from Bangladesh.
The fair usually starts on Jan 1 every year. But this time it was delayed by 10 days due to non-stop agitation by the BNP-led 18-party alliance and consider the law and order of the country.
Entry fee for each person has been fixed at Tk 30. There are 96 pavilions, 49 mini pavilions and 316 stalls available in the event.
