Int’l Trade Fair begins in Sylhet

A month-long International Trade Fair-2014 began at Sylhet shahi eidgah today. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith inaugurated the fair, organized by Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the chief guest this evening.
The finance minister said that the country has witnessed huge development in the socio-economic arena in the last six years and hoped that the country would become a poverty-free country by 2020.
Administrator of Sylhet Zila Parishad and Sylhet district Awami League (AL) President Abdus Zahir Chowdhury Sufian, General Secretary of district AL Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police and Sylhet Range Mizanur Rahman were present on the occasion as special guests on the occasion.
