Saudi Arabia and UK to Boost Bilateral Trade to £30 billion by 2030

Saudi Arabia and the UK have committed to strengthening their economic partnership, aiming to increase bilateral trade to £30 billion ($37.5 billion) by 2030. The announcement came during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit to Riyadh, where he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Both sides emphasized collaboration in renewable energy, clean hydrogen, and sustainable growth, while advancing the GCC-UK Free Trade Agreement. They highlighted mutual investments, including Saudi investments in Heathrow Airport and Newcastle United, and welcomed initiatives like Saudi Arabia’s special economic zones and the Global Supply Chain Resilience Initiative.
The nations also agreed to enhance cooperation in education, health, culture, sports, and humanitarian aid, while reaffirming shared goals in climate action and regional peace efforts.
