Social Welfare Minister dies
Syed Mohsin Ali, the Minister for Social Welfare, has breathed his last on Monday. According to the Bangladesh High Commissioner in Singapore Mahbub Uz Zaman, doctors at the Singapore General Hospital pronounced him dead around 11am local time.
The 67-year-old was flown to Singapore on September 5 after he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Earlier, he was being treated at the BIRDEM Hospital in Dhaka.
A veteran freedom fighter, Syed Mohsin Ali was an elected lawmaker from Habiganj-3 constituency.
