A week full of fun and games for children at Play Factory
Children aged 3-11 headed down to the Play Factory Holiday playscheme where a variety of activities and games was organised by the council last week.
The week-long scheme saw more than a hundred youngsters take part in sessions from arts and crafts to team games and bike riding.
Children attending the sessions also took part in workshops where they baked cakes and cookies as well as making beaded bracelets and learning how to knit.
Maya Lee-Rahman, 7, said: “This week has been really exciting and I really enjoyed it. My favourite part of the week was making delicious cookies and I also did some fantastic things like sewing.”
Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, said: “I am pleased the playscheme has been a success with children and at the same time provided a vital service to working parents.”
Cabinet member for children, schools and families Cllr Oliur Rahman said: “I’m delighted the scheme has been popular amongst the children and parents. Thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly to make every day engaging and exciting for the children.”
