Oishee charged for murder

Police on Sunday pressed charges against Oishee Rahman in connection with the murder of her parents in city’s Chamelibagh area last year. The other chargesheeted accused are Oishee’s two friends-Asaduzzaman Jony and Mizanur Rahman Rony and her domestic help Sumi Akhtar.
Inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police and Investigation Officer (IO) of the case Abu Al Kahir Matabbar submitted the chargesheet before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court around 12 pm.
Earlier on August 16 last year, police recovered the bodies of Special Branch of police Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman from their Chamelibagh residence.
Later, their daughter Oishee surrendered to the police confessing her involvement to the killing.
Police also arrested her two friends Asaduzzaman and Mizanur and domestic help of their house Sumi Akhtar in connection with the murder.
